As I Enter In

As I enter in

In the middle of a crowd that surrounds me

Patiently waiting to hear the start of a worshipful melody

When the musicians begin to play, people start singing.

I close my eyes, raise my hands, and begin to make an offering.

My spirit starts to give thanks and begins its celebration

From being released from my past and sins incarceration

Soon, I’m praising God that from death I am fully free

And hell has completely forfeited its claim on me.

As I enter in

Suddenly, I feel my spirit approaching God’s throne room

I boldly burst in like an exuberant bridegroom

With my spirit rejoicing, I begin moving my feet

In front of the One who has made me complete

Time is forgotten with each moment passing.

As I widely increase my rhythmic dancing

Because I know this is my chance to behold His face

and to become lost in His perplexing grace.

As I enter in

Now I am beholding the One standing before me who died in my place

and by His grace made my spirit alive in this once cold dead space.

I can hear His heart speaking into my heart

promising me that nothing will ever tear us apart.

With a reminder that what He says about me

not what man says about me is the true reality

And how He views me lies my true identity.

As I enter in

While the music is ending, I am still rejoicing

that today I saw and touched His face and felt His embrace.

And next week will get to come back to do it all over again.
